Velox Map Locator does not operate a remote Velox mapping service. External requests depend on the provider the administrator configures.

OpenStreetMap

The visitor’s browser requests raster tiles from the OpenStreetMap tile service when the map loads. Required attribution is displayed.

Google Maps Platform

A Google-backed Locator loads the Maps JavaScript API and map content from Google. The browser API key is visible in browser requests by design and should be appropriately restricted.

Custom XYZ

The browser requests tiles directly from the configured XYZ URL. The administrator must supply correct attribution and evaluate the provider’s privacy and usage requirements.

Delay external requests

Interaction Privacy Mode can keep an external map provider unloaded until the visitor chooses to load the map. The Location list can remain useful before the external map is activated.
