Custom XYZ profiles let you connect a compatible raster tile service instead of OpenStreetMap Standard or Google Maps.

Before you configure a profile

Obtain the provider’s HTTP(S) XYZ tile URL format, attribution requirements, permitted zoom range and any usage restrictions.

Security note

Any access token placed in a browser tile URL is visible to visitors. Do not treat a client-side tile token as a secret.

Create and reuse the profile

1. Open Map Providers.
2. Create the Custom XYZ profile with the provider’s tile URL and required attribution.
3. Save the profile.
4. Select it in one or more Locators.
5. Test tiles at several zoom levels and verify attribution on the public page.

The site administrator is responsible for the selected provider’s terms, privacy requirements, credentials, attribution and usage limits.
