Google Maps API errors
Diagnose authorization, restriction, Map ID and loading problems in Google-backed Locators.
Check the browser key
Confirm the configured key belongs to the correct Google Cloud project and is intended for browser use.
Check restrictions
HTTP referrer restrictions must include the production domain and any staging domain used for testing. API restrictions must allow the services the Locator actually loads.
Check Map ID
Verify that the configured Map ID is valid for the intended project/configuration.
Read the browser console
Google Maps usually reports specific authorization or configuration errors in developer tools. Correct the underlying Cloud setting rather than repeatedly regenerating keys without understanding the error.
Billing and quota
Review the project’s billing and quota status when configuration appears correct but requests are still refused.
