Addresses, coordinates and Find on Map
Store address data and ensure every mapped Location has accurate latitude and longitude.
Structured address
Use the Location editor’s structured address fields so Country and City filters can work from consistent data rather than text embedded only in a description.
Coordinates
Latitude and longitude determine the actual marker position. If a Location appears in the wrong place or not at all, verify these values first.
Find on Map with Google
If Google Maps is configured, the Location editor can resolve an entered address when you explicitly choose Find on Map. That action sends the address to Google’s browser-side geocoding service. Typing the address alone does not send it for autocomplete/geocoding.
Quality check
After coordinates are populated, confirm the marker on a real public Locator. Geocoding can sometimes resolve a city centre, building centroid or similarly named place rather than the exact entrance you intend to show.
