Configure OpenStreetMap Standard
Use the built-in OpenStreetMap/Leaflet option and understand its external tile requests.
OpenStreetMap Standard is the simplest provider for a first Locator because it does not require a Google API key.
How it works
Velox Map Locator bundles Leaflet 1.9.4 locally. When an OpenStreetMap-backed map is displayed, the visitor’s browser requests raster tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org.
Configuration
- Open Map Providers.
- Make OpenStreetMap Standard available for your Locators.
- Choose it as the global default in Settings or select it in an individual Locator.
- Publish and verify map attribution on the public page.
Service responsibilities
The public OpenStreetMap tile service has its own usage policy. High-traffic or specialized deployments should evaluate whether another tile service is more appropriate. Velox Map Locator displays required attribution but does not operate the tile service.
