Requirements and installation

Install Velox Map Locator and understand the minimum WordPress and PHP requirements for version 1.0.0.

Velox Map Locator 1.0.0 requires WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.

Install from WordPress.org

  1. In WordPress administration, open Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Search for Velox Map Locator.
  3. Select Install Now, then activate the plugin.

Install a ZIP package

  1. Open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  2. Select the Velox Map Locator ZIP package.
  3. Install and activate it.

After activation

Open Velox Map Locator → Help for the built-in workflow guide. Then visit Map Providers and Settings before creating your first public Locator.

OpenStreetMap Standard can be used without a Google Maps API key. Google Maps requires your own browser API key and Map ID.
