Velox always starts with the current WordPress Featured Image. The widget then applies the display choices configured in Elementor.

Image size

Choose an appropriate WordPress image size for the space the image occupies. Avoid requesting a much larger file than the rendered area needs, particularly in cards or narrow columns.

Fallback image

A fallback is optional. If configured, Velox uses it only when the current content item does not provide a Featured Image. This makes a reusable template predictable without forcing every content item to have an image.

Content ownership

The fallback belongs to the widget configuration; the primary image remains the native Featured Image of the current content item. Velox does not copy the Featured Image into widget settings.
