Velox Featured Image for Elementor FAQ
Common questions about Elementor Pro, Featured Images, backgrounds, custom post types, privacy and caching.
Does Velox replace WordPress Featured Images?
No. It uses the native Featured Image already assigned to the current WordPress post, page, or thumbnail-enabled custom post type.
Does it require Elementor Pro?
No. It is designed for Elementor Free and can coexist with Elementor Pro.
Can I use the Featured Image in a Page Title or banner?
Yes, when that title/banner is built with Elementor. Use Featured Image Background on a supported outer Container/legacy Section, or use Featured Hero.
Do I have to resave Elementor after changing a Featured Image?
No. Velox resolves the current image dynamically. Clear an external full-page cache or CDN if it continues serving an older render.
What happens if a page has no Featured Image?
The Featured Image widget outputs nothing unless a fallback is configured. Featured Hero can remain usable without an image. Featured Image Background can use its fallback or preserve the original Elementor background.
Can I use custom post types?
Yes, when the post type supports WordPress post thumbnails and the relevant output is rendered through Elementor.
Does it work with every theme Page Title system?
No. Theme-controlled title bars rendered outside Elementor are intentionally outside the plugin scope.
Why is Featured Image Background missing on some Atomic elements?
Velox exposes that panel only where Elementor provides a supported public extension path. The Image and Hero widgets can still be used in compatible mixed/hybrid layouts.
Does Velox collect or transmit data?
No. It does not collect telemetry, create tracking cookies, or send data to Velox or third-party services.
Does the plugin add frontend JavaScript?
No. The 1.0.0 release adds no frontend JavaScript.
