Requirements and installation

WordPress, PHP and Elementor requirements, followed by the recommended installation sequence.

Before installing Velox Featured Image for Elementor, confirm that the site meets the supported baseline.

Requirements

  • WordPress: 6.8 or newer.
  • PHP: 7.4 or newer.
  • Elementor: 3.26.0 or newer.
  • Elementor Pro: optional.

Install from WordPress.org

  1. Install and activate Elementor if it is not already active.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  3. Search for Velox Featured Image for Elementor.
  4. Install and activate the plugin.
  5. Edit a page, post, or supported custom post type with Elementor.

Confirm the integration

In Elementor, look for Featured Image and Featured Hero in the Velox widget category. On supported Containers and legacy Sections, open Style → Velox Featured Image to find the background controls.

Assign the source image

Use the normal WordPress Featured Image control on the current post, page, or custom post type. Velox will resolve that image automatically at render time.
